Occupational Therapist School Setting - Decatur, GA

Step into a rewarding part-time opportunity providing impactful occupational therapy services to 5th and 6th-grade students. In this contract role, you will make a direct difference in the educational journey of two students, supporting their growth and success as valued members of the learning community. With a preferred 2:30 PM start time, you’ll have predictable afternoons dedicated to meaningful engagement and collaboration.

Desired Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Georgia Occupational Therapist license and GaPSC Certification (both required)
• Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy is highly desirable
• Background working with students with disabilities is a plus
• Ability to provide onsite services and work effectively within a school environment
• Completion of required clearance documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy sessions totaling 30 minutes per week per student, following each IEP
• Assess student needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and classroom participation
• Develop and suggest classroom accommodations, strategies, and modifications to support inclusion and access
• Work closely with teachers and special education staff to exchange insights and strategies
• Monitor progress, maintain up-to-date documentation, and communicate regularly with the school team
• Ensure all services adhere to IEP and regulatory standards
