Make a meaningful impact as an Occupational Therapist in a supportive educational setting, providing targeted support to two 5th and 6th grade students. This part-time contract position spans from ASAP through May 22, 2026, and involves delivering specialized occupational therapy services in alignment with each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Located near Decatur, GA, the role offers the opportunity to work closely onsite with students and educational teams to facilitate student success and participation in the classroom.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Georgia Occupational Therapist license and GaPSC Certification (both required).
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred.
  • Background working with students with disabilities is an advantage.
  • Ability to provide services onsite (remote work is not available).
  • Clearance documentation required prior to onboarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 30 minutes of direct occupational therapy weekly to each assigned student, in compliance with IEP service mandates.
  • Evaluate and address students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional skills impacting their educational participation.
  • Collaborate actively with educators, special education staff, and other specialists to promote student progress.
  • Offer strategies and recommendations for classroom accommodations and modifications to support access and learning.
  • Maintain up-to-date records, IEP documentation, and progress notes per regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to ongoing communication and team meetings regarding student needs and development.
