Step into a rewarding part-time opportunity supporting middle school students as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic educational setting. This role focuses on two students in 5th and 6th grades with a clear service structure: 30 minutes of direct occupational therapy per week per student, designed in alignment with individual IEP requirements and best practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering targeted occupational therapy to meet students’ fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skill needs.
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, special education professionals, and school staff to ensure integrated, consistent support that promotes each student’s success in the classroom.
  • Conducting assessments, developing and recommending classroom accommodations and modifications, and maintaining comprehensive documentation regarding progress and interventions.
  • Participating actively in communication with the school team, offering insights and updates on student development.
  • Ensuring all services comply with current IEPs and relevant educational regulations.

Desired qualifications:

  • Current Georgia Occupational Therapist license and valid GaPSC Certification—both required.
  • Prior experience in school-based settings, especially working with students with disabilities, highly preferred.
  • Ability to provide therapy services on-site only.
  • Completion of required background clearance documentation before starting the position.
