School Occupational Therapist | Deer River, Minnesota

Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade near Deer River, MN. This full-time, contract-based occupational therapy position is ready to start as soon as possible and runs through June 1, 2026. You’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact on a diverse caseload while collaborating closely with a COTA and providing supervision.

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials for school-based practice or eligibility for licensure
• Experience with Pre-K through 12th grade populations preferred
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload of 60-75 students
• Prior supervisory or mentoring experience with COTAs is a plus
• Capable of timely documentation and progress monitoring

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students across grade levels
• Assess, develop, and implement individualized goals and treatment plans
• Work collaboratively with education teams and families to support student needs
• Supervise and guide a COTA in daily service delivery
• Maintain accurate records and document student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing student evaluations
• Adapt therapy interventions to accommodate diverse learning styles and physical abilities
