Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as a school-based Occupational Therapist supporting elementary and high school students near Dekalb, IL. This full-time position begins with orientation on September 8, 2026, and continues through January 8, 2027. As a valued team member, you’ll provide direct onsite therapy during FMLA coverage, making a lasting difference in students’ lives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Current Occupational Therapy (OT) licensure and credentials required for practice in Illinois
  • Experience or strong foundational knowledge working with K-12 populations, especially elementary and high school students
  • Skills in assessment, intervention planning, and progress monitoring within a school setting
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other therapists, teachers, and educational staff
  • Professional communication skills and a commitment to ongoing growth and practice improvement

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver school-based OT services, focusing on both elementary and high school students
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized intervention plans, and implement therapy sessions
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
  • Document services and student progress in accordance with district requirements
  • Engage in regular collaboration—including monthly meetings, roundtable discussions, and process improvement initiatives
  • Take advantage of professional development resources and equipment provided for your success
  • Contribute to a supportive workplace by participating in annual reviews and sharing feedback for program improvement
