School Occupational Therapist - Denver, Colorado

This full-time contract role offers an exciting opportunity for a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide essential support to children with diverse needs across K-12 settings. Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students in one or more school buildings (assignments to be determined)
• Address a variety of needs and disabilities, tailoring interventions for students ranging in age from early childhood through high school
• Collaborate closely with teachers, other therapists, and support team members to plan and implement effective therapy goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student education plans
• Advocate for student independence in self-care, classroom participation, and school activities
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with all district and state guidelines
• Meet established timelines for credentialing and background checks to ensure a smooth onboarding process

Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Department of Education Occupational Therapist license (birth through age 21)
• Previous experience in school settings preferred, with strong knowledge of school-based OT requirements
• Ability to adapt quickly to different building environments and student caseloads
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Enthusiasm for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting a wide age range of students
