Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold current Occupational Therapist (OT) certification
- Possess an active Colorado Department of Education certificate
- Maintain a valid Colorado OT license
- Prior experience working with students at the elementary, middle, or high school level preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, families, and support staff
- Ability to adapt interventions to align with individualized education plans (IEPs)
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and needs relating to educational performance
- Develop and implement customized OT interventions focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success and participate in IEP meetings
- Document progress and maintain timely, accurate records
- Communicate regularly with staff and families, providing guidance and support
- Proactively adapt therapeutic approaches to best meet diverse student needs
