Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from PreK through 12th grade near Des Plaines, IL! This role is perfect for passionate occupational therapists and certified occupational therapy assistants seeking to make a genuine impact in a vibrant educational setting. You’ll help students develop their fine and gross motor skills, both within the classroom and through individualized support, over a focused summer session.

Key Details:

  • Orientation scheduled for Friday, June 5
  • Work collaboratively from Monday, June 8 to Friday, June 26 (with Friday, June 19 off)
  • Student attendance from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; staff hours from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong experience in school-based OT, healthcare, or home health settings
  • Skilled in supporting fine and gross motor skill development in children and adolescents
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Background in managing caseloads across diverse age groups, ideally PreK through high school
  • Creative, adaptable, and collaborative approach to working with students and school teams

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging OT interventions tailored to students’ individual needs and group goals
  • Collaborate with educators and families to integrate therapy into the educational environment
  • Monitor, track, and communicate student progress in both formal reports and team meetings
  • Foster a supportive, encouraging atmosphere that promotes student independence and participation
