Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting school-based therapy programs! We’re seeking three dedicated Occupational Therapists or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants to provide crucial services for the 2026/2027 academic year. One of these positions offers a flexible 15 hours per week schedule within the Rockford, IL area, with caseloads yet to be determined.

As an integral part of students’ educational journeys, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote development, independence, and participation in school activities. Your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children who benefit from tailored occupational therapy interventions.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Valid Illinois state licensure as an OT or COTA (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a K-12 school setting preferred
  • Strong grasp of IEP processes, reporting, and documentation
  • Knowledge of sensory integration, motor skills development, and adaptive techniques for students
  • Effective communication with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for students’ occupational therapy needs
  • Implement individual and group therapy sessions supporting IEP goals
  • Maintain organized records and prompt communication with educational teams
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations as needed
  • Provide guidance or in-service training to staff and caregivers regarding therapeutic supports
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive environment for student growth
