Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping students thrive in the school environment. If you are a certified OT with experience or a keen interest in working with elementary-age children, we have two dynamic contract opportunities available for the upcoming school year in the areas surrounding Des Plaines, IL.

Details of available positions:

Position 1:

  • Two full-time, non-concurrent leaves at elementary schools
  • Serve the entire school year
  • Assignments in Glen Ellyn area
  • Schedule: 35+ hours per week

Position 2:

  • Elementary school setting
  • Full-time maternity leave coverage from October through April
  • Located in the Bloomingdale area
  • Schedule: 35+ hours per week

Key Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois
  • Strong desire to work in educational settings
  • Previous experience with pediatric or school-based therapy preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Willingness to adapt approaches to meet a range of student needs

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
  • Provide training and resources to school personnel as needed
  • Promote skill development for students to succeed in the classroom
