An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist interested in working within school settings. This full-time, per diem role offers the flexibility to support students throughout the new school year in a warm and collaborative environment near Des Plaines, IL. You'll play a vital part in fostering student growth and independence by providing individualized and group therapy services.

Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license
  • Experience in school-based OT required
  • Additional background in home health, teletherapy, or broader healthcare OT is highly valued
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs and tailored therapy plans

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
  • Conduct evaluations and participate in eligibility determinations
  • Collaborate with IEP teams to set and review therapy goals
  • Communicate progress and strategies with staff and families to support success in and out of school
  • Adapt interventions for both in-person and teletherapy formats as needed
  • Document and maintain accurate records of sessions, progress, and outcomes
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings for student planning
