Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving students aged 3-22 within a dynamic self-contained special education program near Des Plaines, IL. Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in Illinois
  • Experience in any of the following: school-based OT, home health OT, healthcare OT, or delivering OT services via teletherapy
  • Background in working with students with special needs, across developmental stages from early childhood through young adulthood
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and treatment planning skills
  • Clear and effective communication; ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to interview onsite is required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver OT services in alignment with IEP goals within a self-contained SPED setting
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to integrate therapy into students’ daily routines
  • Monitor, document, and report on student progress
  • Provide support and education for caregivers and school personnel to generalize therapy strategies
  • Adapt to a flexible caseload (18-25 students), supporting a range of ages and abilities
