This opportunity begins August 12, 2026, and runs through November 3, 2026, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. With a manageable caseload of 25 students, you’ll provide crucial occupational therapy services to early intervention and elementary-aged learners, making a meaningful impact every day.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Illinois
  • Previous experience working with children in school settings, particularly early intervention and elementary populations
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to devise and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Enthusiasm for fostering self-care, fine motor, and sensory skills in young students
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support a diverse student community

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct assessments and develop specialized treatment plans for students aged early intervention through elementary
  • Deliver direct therapy services, working both one-on-one and in small groups
  • Maintain organized records and progress notes in compliance with school guidelines
  • Consult with classroom teachers and other staff to integrate OT strategies into daily routines
  • Involve families in the therapeutic process, offering strategies and resources for continued growth at home
  • Maintain regular communication to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
