Key Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience working in a school-based setting strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and related documentation
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, teachers, and other specialists
  • Creative, flexible, and compassionate approach to meeting each child’s unique needs
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a varied caseload

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ abilities and develop individualized intervention plans
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, supporting both fine and gross motor skill development
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other team members to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines
  • Maintain detailed records and contribute to IEP meetings, ensuring compliance with educational and legal standards
  • Offer training and guidance to staff on incorporating OT techniques in daily classroom activities
  • Evaluate progress and adapt interventions to optimize student performance and independence
