Exciting opportunity to provide impactful occupational therapy services in a supportive early childhood educational environment near Des Plaines, IL! This contract position offers a part-time schedule for the 2026-2027 school year (.4 or .6 FTE – 2 to 3 days per week), working with young learners in an Early Childhood setting within a collaborative preschool consortium.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is required
  • Valid OT license for the state of Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience in early childhood educational settings is highly valued
  • Previous work with students receiving special education services preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Flexibility to travel between sites within the preschool consortium

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for early childhood students
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services to meet the diverse needs of preschoolers
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and assist in developing school-based interventions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required
  • Support students’ motor, sensory, and adaptive skill development in the classroom environment
