Occupational Therapist School Setting in Des Plaines, IL

Embark on an exciting contract opportunity supporting elementary students with your expertise as an Occupational Therapist! Two dedicated OTs are needed for the upcoming school year to make a meaningful impact in vibrant educational settings near Des Plaines, IL.

The first position involves coverage for two non-concurrent leaves across two elementary schools, spanning the entire academic year with consistent, full-time hours (35+ per week). The second opening is a full-time maternity leave coverage at an elementary campus, running from October through April, also offering 35+ hours weekly. Both roles offer you the chance to collaborate closely with engaging staff and enthusiastic young learners while providing invaluable therapeutic support.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
• Current OT licensure in Illinois.
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt interventions to meet individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans in collaboration with educational teams.
• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services tailored to elementary students.
• Document progress and maintain compliance with state and federal requirements.
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal development and student progress monitoring.
• Support teachers and families with strategies for classroom and home environments.
