Bring your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to an impactful full-time contract opportunity serving elementary students in the Detroit, MI area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s functional and academic success within a school setting and ready to jump in urgently through the end of the school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license, with credentials to provide services in educational settings
  • Prior experience as a school-based OT, preferably working with elementary caseloads
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to create and implement individualized therapy plans supporting academic and functional goals
  • Experience with documentation and compliance for school and healthcare requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services to a caseload of 50-60 elementary students, addressing IEP goals and identified needs
  • Conduct assessments, develop therapy interventions, and document progress
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy strategies within the classroom
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team collaboration as needed
  • Contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams for holistic student support
  • Maintain accurate records in line with district and regulatory standards
