Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active and valid Occupational Therapy license for practice in Michigan
  • Prior experience delivering OT services within a school environment preferred
  • Familiarity with supporting elementary-aged students
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work with educators, parents, and support staff
  • Ability to develop, implement, and track individualized treatment plans and goals
  • Effective organizational and time management abilities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and documentation for students at the lower elementary level
  • Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to adapt learning environments and support student access to the curriculum
  • Assist in developing and monitoring IEPs, attending eligibility and review meetings as needed
  • Deliver both direct and consultative services, ensuring best practices for student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with local and federal guidelines
  • Communicate clearly with families, providing resources and strategies for home use
