Occupational Therapist School Setting - Detroit, MI

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license for Michigan
• Previous experience in a school-based OT role preferred
• Strong understanding of IEPs and student documentation
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Adaptability for working at more than one location if needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive OT services to students, supporting fine motor, sensory, and functional skills development
• Assess student needs, create and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and document progress
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to implement effective therapy strategies in the classroom and school community
• Travel between designated sites as needed within the contract scope
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing program improvement initiatives
