Occupational Therapist School Setting in Detroit, MI

What we're seeking:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active and valid OTR license in Michigan
• Previous experience as a school-based Occupational Therapist is highly desirable
• Strong collaboration skills to work closely with educators, staff, and parents
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Adaptability to support diverse student needs across multiple grade levels

What you'll do:

• Assess students to identify motor, sensory, and functional challenges impacting classroom participation
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to students’ IEP goals
• Provide direct OT services that promote skill development for self-care, classroom tasks, and play activities
• Maintain accurate records of services, evaluations, and progress monitoring
• Consult with teachers and parents, offering strategies to integrate therapy goals into the daily classroom experience
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional insight for student success
• Support a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
