Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapy (OT) license valid in the state of Michigan
  • Experience or strong interest in working with grades K-12
  • Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and adapt to varying caseloads
  • Dedication to supporting students’ academic and personal development
  • Previous school-based experience is an asset, though motivated candidates with related pediatric settings are encouraged to apply

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted, individualized OT therapy services to students in grades K–12
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure a coordinated approach
  • Assess, develop, and implement student therapy plans tailored to their needs
  • Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
  • Communicate regularly with guardians and educators to maximize student outcomes
  • Adapt therapy activities to accommodate each student’s environment and grade level
