What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Current licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist
  • Proven experience in school-based OT or an educational environment
  • Background in home health or broader healthcare OT settings is a plus
  • Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and individualized education planning
  • Excellent communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage shifting caseload needs and maintain detailed documentation

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in a supportive school setting
  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
  • Provide interventions that support daily living skills and facilitate student participation in school activities
  • Maintain thorough records and compliance with school and regulatory standards
  • Adapt to potentially increasing hours as the need for evaluations or therapies arises
