Embark on a rewarding part-time contract as an Occupational Therapist making a meaningful impact on students’ lives. This opportunity focuses on working directly with two students at the 5th and 6th grade level, delivering individualized therapy that guides their development and fosters their success in a supportive educational environment.

Candidates will deliver 30 minutes of on-site occupational therapy services per week to each student, fulfilling IEP requirements and collaborating closely with teachers and special education staff. Your role will include conducting assessments, offering practical recommendations for classroom adaptations, and supporting each student’s fine motor, functional, and sensory skill growth. Monitoring progress, collaborating for optimal outcomes, and maintaining organized, compliant documentation form the foundation of your daily tasks.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Georgia Occupational Therapist license (and GaPSC Certification—both required)
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
  • Background working with students with disabilities is an asset
  • Must meet all clearance documentation requirements
  • Ability to provide all services onsite

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services for two 5th/6th grade students per IEP guidelines
  • Carry out performance assessments to inform individualized intervention
  • Collaborate with educators and staff on student needs and classroom strategies
  • Recommend modifications and accommodations to support instructional access
  • Track student progress and maintain thorough, timely documentation
