Occupational Therapist School Setting in Du Quoin, IL

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
• Experience and comfort working with school-aged children
• Knowledge of educational therapy best practices and compliance standards
• Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with virtual/remote OT (voco) approaches is an added asset

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students
• Evaluate motor, sensory, behavioral, and functional needs
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create effective learning environments
• Develop and update Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
• Maintain thorough and compliant intervention records and progress notes
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development
• Adjust and tailor interventions to address evolving student needs throughout the school year
