Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
- Experience and comfort working with school-aged children
- Knowledge of educational therapy best practices and compliance standards
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with virtual/remote OT (voco) approaches is an added asset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students
- Evaluate motor, sensory, behavioral, and functional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create effective learning environments
- Develop and update Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Maintain thorough and compliant intervention records and progress notes
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development
- Adjust and tailor interventions to address evolving student needs throughout the school year
