An exciting opportunity awaits an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist ready to support students’ growth and success during a maternity leave contract. This full-time position is based at two vibrant elementary schools, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative educational environment. Working approximately 37.5 hours per week, you’ll help nurture the development of about 60 students, guiding them through their individual goals over the course of this assignment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active Occupational Therapist license for South Carolina
  • Prior experience within school settings or with pediatric populations is strongly preferred
  • Comfortable managing a diverse caseload and collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted OT services to elementary-aged students according to their IEPs and 504 plans
  • Collaborate with special education teams to assess needs, set goals, and update progress
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and interventions that support participation, independence, and academic achievement
  • Document sessions thoroughly, maintaining accurate records in accordance with school and state requirements
  • Communicate student progress and strategies effectively with parents and educational staff
  • Adapt therapy approaches as necessary to ensure each child’s success
