Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services in a school setting near East Falmouth, MA. This role provides support to K–12 students during their extended school year session, running July 6 through August 6. The schedule offers flexibility, with two sessions each week from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the specific days can be arranged Monday through Thursday to suit your availability.
Your expertise will make a genuine difference for a manageable caseload of approximately 26 students, each receiving individualized or small-group 30-minute sessions. All students will come with their own prepared ESY materials, developed by their regular school-based OTs, making it easier to dive right into meaningful interventions. You’ll have dedicated planning and prep time—15 minutes before the school day starts, and 15 minutes at the end of your shift—giving you space to organize, review progress, and ensure every session is productive.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Massachusetts
- Experience or strong interest in working within school settings and with K–12 students
- Ability to effectively manage a varied caseload and adjust interventions for students’ unique needs
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with school staff and reporting on student progress
Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT services as outlined in students’ IEPs or 504 plans, individually or in groups
- Utilize prepared ESY occupational therapy materials for all sessions
- Monitor and document student progress, updating staff as needed
- Collaborate with educational teams to ensure consistent support across settings
- Participate in planning and prep activities during designated times
