Make a positive impact in the lives of K-12 students as a school-based Occupational Therapist on a contract basis. Located near East Lansing, this rewarding opportunity allows you to work 3.5 days per week, supporting learners across various grade levels.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with valid credentials for school-based practice
- Experience in school settings or working with K-12 students preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and goal-setting for student progress
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize caseloads and collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and develop individualized intervention plans tailored to educational requirements
- Provide direct therapy services within classroom or pull-out settings, adapting to diverse student needs
- Track progress and maintain detailed, timely documentation consistent with district and federal requirements
- Attend IEP meetings, share findings, and help shape goals and strategies for students’ academic and social growth
- Offer consultation and training to teachers and school staff to promote accessibility and inclusion
- Work 3.5 days per week, serving a varied K-12 population
