Step into a rewarding opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist in Minnesota for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position focuses primarily on elementary-aged students, with responsibilities split among a collaborative OT team at the beginning of the school year to best serve student needs. The role is entirely in-person, offering a chance to build meaningful connections with both students and fellow professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Active Minnesota Occupational Therapist license (required)
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of pediatric and school-based OT practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Commitment to delivering services on-site (remote/virtual work is not permitted)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions for students, primarily within elementary schools
  • Participate in collaborative caseload division and planning with the OT department at the start of the school year
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support student participation and access to curriculum
  • Consult and coordinate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize therapeutic outcomes
  • Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and compliance with state and district documentation standards
