This contract position focuses primarily on elementary-aged students, with responsibilities split among a collaborative OT team at the beginning of the school year to best serve student needs. Qualifications:
- Active Minnesota Occupational Therapist license (required)
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric and school-based OT practices
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Commitment to delivering services on-site (remote/virtual work is not permitted)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions for students, primarily within elementary schools
- Participate in collaborative caseload division and planning with the OT department at the start of the school year
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support student participation and access to curriculum
- Consult and coordinate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize therapeutic outcomes
- Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and compliance with state and district documentation standards
