Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure for school-based practice
- Experience working with adolescents in a scholastic environment preferred
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and creating student-centered intervention plans
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Flexibility to travel between two nearby high school locations
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services as outlined in students’ IEPs
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ fine motor, sensory, and adaptive needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention programs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to ensure effective strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress documentation
- Foster independence and functional skill-building in students to support academic success
- Adapt therapy methods and support plans for classroom integration
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school district guidelines
