Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as an Occupational Therapist for a diverse and vibrant school community near Edgerton, WI. Whether you're seeking a full-time position or a part-time schedule (0.5 FTE or higher), you'll play a key role in fostering student success and independence within a friendly, collaborative environment.
This in-person assignment is focused on children from early childhood through 5th grade. You'll work closely with students, teachers, and families to provide direct interventions and strategies that help students achieve their academic and functional goals.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Knowledge in OT for home health and healthcare environments considered an asset
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Skilled at collaborating effectively with students, families, staff, and administration
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
- Comfortable committing to in-person work during school hours (8:00am–3:30pm), with occasional after-hours meetings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in early childhood through 5th grade
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions to support students’ participation in school activities
- Evaluate student progress and maintain comprehensive records
- Consult with teachers and families to share recommendations and strategies
- Attend and contribute to meetings and IEP team discussions as needed
- Maintain compliance with all relevant guidelines and ethical standards
