This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a dedicated Occupational Therapist eager to support students from PreK through 4th grade in a vibrant school setting near Edison, NJ. This 12-week coverage position begins in September and offers full-time hours, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in helping children succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Your expertise will be valued in providing targeted therapy, designing intervention plans, and collaborating closely with educators and families to promote students’ functional independence and academic participation.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active New Jersey Occupational Therapy license
- Previous experience in school-based settings or working with children preferred
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students from PreK to 4th grade
- Complete assessments and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address fine motor, sensory processing, and self-help skills
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
- Document sessions, maintain accurate records, and deliver progress reports
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the positive learning environment
