A healthcare position is available for an Occupational Therapist in a school setting located in Edison, NJ. This role involves providing therapeutic support to students to enhance their functional abilities and participation in school activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ occupational therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and support the development of inclusive educational strategies.
  • Travel between schools as required to meet the needs of assigned students.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license and certification.
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy principles and techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators and families.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to travel between multiple school locations within the district.
