An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students across two school sites in El Cajon, CA. This contract position begins January 12 and extends through the end of the school year in June, filling a leave of absence. Ideal candidates will have experience providing therapeutic services within educational settings and possess a strong understanding of school-based occupational therapy.

Location:

  • El Cajon, California

Position Details:

  • Contract assignment from mid-January through June
  • Full-time schedule: 7.5 hours per day
  • Coverage required for two school sites
  • Focus on delivering occupational therapy services tailored to students’ educational and developmental needs

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Professional occupational therapy certification and licensure in California
  • Proven experience working as an occupational therapist in school environments
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' educational goals
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Flexibility to manage responsibilities across multiple locations successfully

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans that address students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and functional needs
  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to support academic participation and independence
  • Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and collaborate with teachers and school staff
  • Participate in meetings regarding student progress and adjust therapy approaches as necessary
