Make a meaningful impact as a full-time Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year supporting K-12 students across a district near El Prado, NM. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work with a manageable caseload while helping students reach their fullest potential in an educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active New Mexico OT license required
- Current NPI and Medicaid provider number
- Prior school-based OT experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with supporting K-12 students across diverse needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to a district-wide K-12 caseload (approximately 30-35 students)
- Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and implement interventions
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings
- Utilize evidence-based practices to address fine motor, sensory, self-care, and access-to-curriculum needs
- Travel to assigned schools within the district as needed
