This full-time contract role covers an FMLA leave and runs from August 7, 2026, through October 15, 2026. Orientation begins August 3 and 4, ensuring you're well-prepared to work onsite and make a positive impact from day one.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid OT license for the state, with experience supporting school-aged children in resource or self-contained settings
- Knowledgeable in school-based OT practices, including intervention for students in elementary and middle schools
- Able to collaborate with educators, staff, and families to foster student progress
- Strong interpersonal and advocacy skills, with a commitment to evidence-based interventions
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver direct therapy and assessments to students as outlined in IEPs
- Monitor student progress, documenting outcomes and adapting approaches as needed
- Consult, collaborate, and communicate with teachers and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and case conferences, sharing insights and recommendations
- Utilize available equipment and testing materials to support your work
- Connect with supervisors and colleagues through scheduled meetings and informal check-ins
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute ideas during process improvement initiatives
