This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) spans the upcoming academic year, running from August 3, 2026, through May 20, 2027. You’ll work closely with both blended and self-contained classrooms, making an impact on young learners’ ability to participate meaningfully in school life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate student participation in classroom activities by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities

  • Adapt tasks and the physical environment to suit individual student needs

  • Conduct thorough diagnostic and evaluation testing as needed

  • Prepare and communicate detailed reports grounded in assessments and direct classroom observations

  • Develop, implement, and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations for students

  • Build strong relationships through consistent collaboration and communication with parents and school colleagues to monitor developmental achievement and support
    Qualifications:

  • Eligible for or currently hold an Illinois state occupational therapy license

  • Proficient communicator with collaborative team skills

  • Flexible, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to student growth
