School Occupational Therapist | Elgin, Illinois

This itinerant role involves working full-time between 35-37.5 hours weekly, supporting a diverse caseload of students aged from Pre-K through Transition (up to age 22) at various elementary, middle, and high schools. Expect each day to bring new experiences as you move between campuses.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapy license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Active educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Prior experience in a school-based OT setting is preferred
• Flexibility and adaptability for working in different school environments and managing varying schedules
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and family members
• Willingness and ability to complete time-sensitive background and fingerprinting requirements

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy assessments, individualized intervention plans, and progress monitoring for students with diverse needs
• Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ participation and success within the school environment
• Travel between assigned schools as needed, adjusting to the scheduling differences of elementary, middle, and high schools
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with district and regulatory guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development for each student
