A full-time contract position is available for an Occupational Therapist with experience in schools, home health, and healthcare settings. This opportunity centers around four low-incidence classrooms, including life skills and autism, with a manageable caseload of approximately 36–40 students. Engage in meaningful work throughout the full school year, fostering development in both fine and gross motor skills.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Occupational Therapist (OT) certification; COTA experience in school settings highly valued
- Background in home health or broader healthcare environments
- Expertise in supporting fine and gross motor skill development
- Previous work with students in low-incidence classrooms, such as life skills and autism, beneficial
- Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and classroom staff
- Compassionate, flexible, and resourceful approach to therapy
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services for students with diverse needs
- Assess and document students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive needs
- Design and implement tailored treatment plans to foster student growth
- Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Monitor and report student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Engage families and caregivers to promote therapy continuity beyond the classroom
