What we're looking for:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
- Previous experience serving school-aged children, especially in self-contained/resource settings (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working collaboratively with educators, families, and students
- Commitment to fostering student independence and participation in daily school activities
- Desire to actively engage in ongoing professional development
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary and middle school students, addressing individual IEP goals
- Complete evaluations, develop intervention plans, and implement evidence-based strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ educational participation
- Participate in IEP meetings, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Take part in monthly team meetings, roundtables, 1:1 check-ins, and annual reviews
- Contribute to process improvements for best practices
- Utilize collaborative online platforms for real-time connection with colleagues
