School Occupational Therapist - Elgin, Illinois

What we're looking for:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
• Previous experience serving school-aged children, especially in self-contained/resource settings (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working collaboratively with educators, families, and students
• Commitment to fostering student independence and participation in daily school activities
• Desire to actively engage in ongoing professional development

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary and middle school students, addressing individual IEP goals
• Complete evaluations, develop intervention plans, and implement evidence-based strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ educational participation
• Participate in IEP meetings, documentation, and progress monitoring
• Take part in monthly team meetings, roundtables, 1:1 check-ins, and annual reviews
• Contribute to process improvements for best practices
• Utilize collaborative online platforms for real-time connection with colleagues
