Occupational Therapist School Setting in Elgin, IL

Requirements:

• Licensure as Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Recent experience delivering therapy services in a school environment, preferably with K-12 populations
• Familiarity with school-based therapy documentation and IEP processes
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities
• Adaptability to engage with diverse student needs across age groups

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to K-12 students, helping them access their curriculum and develop life skills
• Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP meetings by recommending strategies, goals, and accommodations as needed
• Work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to implement individualized therapy plans
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with policies and timelines
