Occupational Therapist School Setting in Elgin, IL

Exciting opportunities are available for two dedicated Occupational Therapists (OTs) to make an impact within elementary school environments in the Elgin, IL area. This contract-based role offers the chance to work closely with students, educators, and families during the full school year or a maternity leave period, depending on your assignment preference.

Role Details:

• First Position: Support two non-concurrent leaves across elementary schools, ensuring strong service continuity and care for students throughout the entire academic year. Full-time hours with 35+ hours per week.
• Second Position: Take on a full-time maternity leave assignment, serving elementary-aged students from October to April, also with 35+ hours per week.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapy license for the state of Illinois
• Strong background in school-based OT, particularly supporting elementary-aged students
• Proficiency with IEPs, assessments, and documentation in educational settings
• Passion for collaborative teamwork and communication with educators, staff, and families
• Flexibility to adapt to varied caseloads and building environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based OT services to meet students’ academic and developmental needs
• Conduct evaluations, provide direct and consultative therapy
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and student progress reviews
• Maintain clear and timely records, ensuring compliance with state and district guidelines
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams to promote student success
