Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, making a significant impact on students’ lives in a vibrant educational environment near Elizabeth, NJ. You'll provide therapeutic support for a high-needs caseload of students ages 5–21, each presenting a range of unique abilities and challenges. The assignment runs from October 1st, 2026, to April 15th, 2027, offering a consistent weekday schedule from 8am–3pm at a single centralized location.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in New Jersey
- Solid experience in pediatric, school-based, or home health OT settings
- Familiarity with IEPs and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop and implement individualized, evidence-based therapeutic plans
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Adaptability in managing a diverse caseload with various disabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services both individually and in small groups (ages 5–21)
- Assess students, interpret results, and contribute to IEP formulation and meetings
- Collaborate closely with educators and other service providers to promote student success
- Track progress, maintain thorough documentation, and adjust interventions as needed
- Educate and support families on strategies to facilitate functional skills at home
- Encourage participation and independence within the school community
