Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license
- Experience with pediatric or school-based occupational therapy preferred
- Ability to assess and address a variety of student needs, including fine/gross motor skills, sensory processing, and classroom participation
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organized, adaptable, and motivated to create positive outcomes for students
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT assessments to identify students’ needs within the school setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student goals and IEP requirements
- Provide direct therapy services in individual or group settings
- Document progress notes and maintain accurate student records
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to maximize student engagement and participation
- Offer guidance and strategies to classroom staff to support accommodations and modifications
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, providing insight and recommendations based on assessments and ongoing observations
