Key Qualifications:
- Valid license to practice occupational therapy
- Previous experience with school-based OT or equivalent pediatric experience
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and goals
- Ability to adapt and individualize interventions for diverse student populations
- Effective communication and case management skills
- Dedication to maintaining a positive, motivating presence in the school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services within the school environment
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families on student progress and therapy goals
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes efficiently and accurately
- Participate in IEP meetings and support compliance with educational requirements
- Modify activities and environments to support student inclusion and participation
- Provide recommendations and training to staff for classroom adaptations
