This opportunity begins August 11th and extends through June 10th, with the possibility to continue into the 2025-2026 school year. The assignment is located near Elk Grove, CA—within an accessible and welcoming school setting.
Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California (OTR/L)
- School-based OT experience or a strong interest in working within educational settings
- Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Experience or familiarity working with general education and mild/moderate special education populations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Commitment to cultural sensitivity and supporting a diverse student population
Responsibilities:
- Complete evaluations, develop IEP goals, and implement therapy for students aged 5-18
- Provide both direct services and consultative support to educators and families
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
- Contribute to IEP meetings, providing professional recommendations
- Collaborate with classroom staff to ensure therapy strategies are integrated in daily learning
- Support the overall well-being and independence of each student served
