Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active state OT license (or eligibility) to practice in Illinois
• Prior pediatric or school-based OT experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Effective communication skills with students, families, and staff
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities
• Compassionate, student-centered approach to therapy

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students with diverse needs
• Assess students using formal and informal tools to determine strengths and support areas
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to enhance students’ school participation and functional skills
• Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in meetings as required
• Offer recommendations for classroom modifications and support school staff in accommodating student needs
• Keep current with best practices in school-based occupational therapy
