School Occupational Therapist - Elk River, Minnesota

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license to practice in the state
• Previous experience providing OT services in a school environment preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to assess student needs and deliver specialized interventions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop student-centered goals designed to foster independence and participation in the classroom
• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services, both in individual and group settings
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to share strategies and recommendations
• Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Adapt activities and environments to promote equal access and success for students
• Stay current with the best practices in school-based OT
