Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary-aged students as an Occupational Therapist in a vibrant educational setting near Elkhart, IN. This full-time role covers the entire academic year, beginning August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027. The district prefers onsite professionals who are passionate about empowering children to reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state of Indiana
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans for elementary-aged students
  • Creative problem-solver who adapts to diverse student needs
  • Proficient in documentation and maintaining compliance with IEP requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and identify student needs relating to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities
  • Develop targeted intervention plans tailored to individual student goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services primarily onsite at the elementary level
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents
  • Track student progress and contribute to IEP meetings as required
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all services provided
  • Participate in school-based professional development and staff meetings
