Seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist eager to work closely with elementary-aged students for a full-time contract assignment running from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027. In this rewarding role, you’ll make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by fostering their independence and supporting their educational achievement within a supportive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license, or eligibility for licensure, in Indiana
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a school setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to tailor strategies and interventions to student-specific needs
- Comfortable working onsite in a dynamic educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ functional needs within the school setting
- Develop and implement individualized plans that support access to curriculum and full participation in classroom activities
- Provide direct therapy services to students, adapting activities to each child’s developmental stage and abilities
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to monitor student progress and adjust plans as necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings, preparing thorough documentation and progress reports
- Offer guidance and resources to school staff regarding strategies and tools that can aid student success
