As an Occupational Therapist for the upcoming school year, you’ll play a vital part in helping students achieve their educational goals while collaborating with a supportive network of educators and families.

Responsibilities in this role will focus on delivering a full spectrum of school-based occupational therapy services. You’ll work across various school locations (to be finalized over the summer) providing direct and consultative OT support to students with diverse needs. Your days will encompass evaluation, intervention planning, delivery of therapy, and participation in IEP meetings, all while maintaining detailed records and contributing professional insights for student progress.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current and valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of North Carolina (NC OT License)
  • Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, administrators, and families
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to adapt to varying caseloads
  • Commitment to fostering student independence and success in academic settings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students and develop individualized treatment plans targeting their needs within the school environment
  • Provide both individual and group therapy, supporting fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skill development
  • Maintain timely documentation and progress reports for student files and IEPs
  • Educate and engage with staff and families regarding therapeutic interventions and at-home strategies
  • Contribute actively to the problem-solving process for students' educational participation

This position offers a consistent weekday schedule of 37.5 hours per week, beginning August 12th, 2026, and concluding June 4th, 2027.
