This highly respected program is searching for an Occupational Therapist eager to start as soon as possible. Enjoy a balanced workload of approximately 15-17 direct service hours each week, supplemented by consultative support. Unique to this school, Wednesdays are half days for students, providing dedicated time in the afternoon for documentation, collaboration, and staying organized.

The school’s commitment to strong staff-student relationships begins at the interview—you’ll tour the environment and meet the population prior to any commitment, ensuring the perfect fit for both parties. This role initially offers a three-month contract, with the intention to transition the right person into a permanent position.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist, eligible for practice in Maryland
• Previous experience in school-based OT or with adolescent and young adult populations preferred
• Strong communication skills for consulting with faculty, families, and related professionals
• Comfort delivering direct services and developing tailored interventions
• Commitment to fostering student growth and independence

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct OT support to students in grades 8-12 (ages 13-21)
• Conduct assessments; develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans
• Deliver consultative services to educational staff and families
• Participate in team meetings, progress monitoring, and IEP development
• Stay organized with ample time on Wednesdays for paperwork, planning, and collaboration
