Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education certificate as an Occupational Therapist (for ages birth–21)
  • Strong understanding of occupational therapy practices within school settings
  • Previous experience with K-12 student populations preferred
  • Ability to adapt interventions across a variety of age groups and educational needs
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Must be able to complete a background check following offer acceptance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students in a K-12 setting according to their IEPs or 504 plans
  • Assess students’ needs and monitor progress through formal and informal evaluation methods
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment strategies
  • Provide consultative support and coaching for school staff regarding sensory, fine motor, and adaptive functioning
  • Maintain accurate records and timely documentation in compliance with district and legal requirements
  • Adjust caseload priorities as needed to address coverage demands and varying age groups
